Artists Florencia S.M. Brück in collaboration with painter Manuel Bonfanti.
This project delves into the intersection of photogrammetry and traditional painting, exploring the impermanence and transformation inherent in existence. By integrating Bonfanti’s expressive brushwork with digital photogrammetric techniques, we create a visual narrative that transcends the physical and enters the metaphysical realm.
This fusion of mediums reflects the exhibition’s theme of cultural exchange and the legacy of Marco Polo, symbolizing the convergence of diverse artistic traditions and technologies. The deliberate introduction of distortions in the photogrammetric process mirrors the fluidity and constant evolution of identity and form, much like the ever-changing landscapes encountered along historical trade routes.
Through this work, we invite viewers to contemplate the transient nature of reality, where every fragment is a testament to the continuous cycle of dissolution and rebirth. Just as atoms shift and transform, so too do our perceptions and experiences, reminding us that nothing truly ends—everything evolves.
