Ecco Jpeggy — Telecom Italia photography award
In 2009 Florencia S.M. Brück was among the winners of Ecco Jpeggy, the photography project launched by Telecom Italia to celebrate the European Year of Creativity and Innovation.
Jpeggy – the art of shooting over IP set out to “stimulate the emergence of new photographic talent through the potential of the Internet”. Throughout the year, photography enthusiasts could take part in a collective online exhibition: a scientific committee of curators, journalists and photography experts selected the most interesting images submitted through a dedicated Flickr page and published them on the Jpeggy home page, in the “Photo Cloud”, an ever-evolving cloud of images. Each week the committee also chose one photographic project to feature and comment on in the official blog, which was open to contributions from all visitors. Jpeggy also hosted information and guides to the major Italian and international museums, galleries, festivals, magazines, blogs and photography schools.
