Lucid meta-morphosis

I created this work for BoulevArt, a three-day festival celebrating Art Dubai’s position as a hub for the global Web3 community, to be shown at Art in Space 360, a 360-degree space that engages all five senses.

It is a short AI video exploring aesthetics in a cyborg trans-human setting, inspired by the Renaissance, Nordic art and the Rococo. The immersive installation combines video, audio, aromas, light, fog and temperature into a multi-sensory experience.

Lucid meta-morphosis looks at the relationship between humanity, technology and the environment, and the importance of balance between them. Striking portraits of bio-cyber-humans, adorned with plant-like features, symbolise the interconnectedness of all living things and the idea of Wu Wei — natural action. The portraits are designed as ontological openings onto the potential for human evolution and the role technology may play in shaping our future.
