I cast light on forms previously in the shadows of the unconscious. Once the chaos has unfolded, it is the sensibility and reaction to color and form that gives shape to the abstract journey.<br \/>The making of art is formative in coming into consciousness \u2014 \u201cawakening\u201d.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Do you prefer to work with music or in silence?<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Both. Music serves to stimulate desire just like colors, but then I forget everything around me, and I realize that I have been in solitary silence for hours listening only to the music of colors.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">If you could only have one piece of art in your life, what would it be?<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Any work of art from the greatest Gustave Moreau, it could be the Deva and Griffon. Moreau was a professor at Paris\u2019 \u00c9cole des Beaux-Arts and among his many students were the fauvist painters, Henri Matisse and Georges Rouault. Moreau inspired surrealist artists like Max Ernst and Salvador Dal\u00ed. Andr\u00e9 Breton famously used to \u201chaunt\u201d Moreau\u2019s museum and regarded him as a precursor of Surrealism.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">What was the best advice given to you as an artist?<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Inspiration exists but it has to catch you working.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Who are your favourite writers?<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">I am constantly reading, I enjoy ancient history, art, Egyptology, I particularly enjoy reading biographies. If I had to choose a novelist I would choose Hermann Hesse because he was a companion during the troubled teen years when I was trying to understand myself (\u201cNot that I ever did\u201d).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading fb-sub\">Entrevista<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">\u00bfCu\u00e1les son los temas m\u00e1s importantes que buscas reflejar en tu trabajo?<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Me acerco a la tela sin ning\u00fan modelo en la mente, me conecto solo con mi subconsciente, que es la base de la creaci\u00f3n y de donde se manifiesta algo \u00fanico. Arrojo luz sobre las formas previamente en las sombras del inconsciente y una vez que el caos se ha desarrollado busco estructuras en su sensibilidad y reacciono ante al color y la forma, los cuales dan inicio hacia el viaje abstracto. La experimentaci\u00f3n del arte es formativa en llegar a la conciencia &#8211; &#8220;el despertar&#8221;.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">\u00bfPrefieres trabajar con m\u00fasica o en silencio?<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Las dos cosas. La m\u00fasica sirve para estimular el deseo al igual que los colores, pero luego se me olvida todo a mi alrededor, y me doy cuenta de que he estado en silencio solitario durante horas escuchando s\u00f3lo a la m\u00fasica de colores.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Si pudieras tener una sola obra de arte en tu vida, \u00bfcu\u00e1l elegir\u00edas?<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Cualquier obra de arte del maestro Gustave Moreau, podr\u00eda ser el Deva y el Griffon. Moreau fue profesor en el Par\u00eds&#8217; \u00c9cole des Beaux-Arts y entre sus muchos estudiantes encontramos a los fovistas, Henri Matisse y Georges Rouault. Moreau inspir\u00f3 artistas surrealistas como Max Ernst y Salvador Dal\u00ed. Andr\u00e9 Breton sol\u00eda deambular por horas el museo de Moreau y lo consideraba como un precursor del surrealismo.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">\u00bfCu\u00e1l fue el mejor consejo que te dieron como artista?<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">La inspiraci\u00f3n existe pero te tiene que agarra trabajando.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">\u00bfQui\u00e9nes son tus escritores preferidos?<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Estudio todo el tiempo, soy fan\u00e1tica de la historia, el arte, la Egiptolog\u00eda y me gusta particularmente leer biograf\u00eda. Si tuviera que elegir a un novelista, seguramente seria Hermann Hess porque me acompa\u00f1\u00f3 durante los dif\u00edciles a\u00f1os de la adolescencia cuando uno busca entenderse a si mismo (aun sigo busc\u00e1ndome).<\/p>\n\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Interview What are the major themes you pursue in your work?
