Venezia.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">One person becomes displaced every 2 seconds \u2013 less than the time it takes to read this sentence.<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The installation consist in the creation of a polycarbonate portal mapped with data visualization generative art. The projected images represented by irregular cubes in space are being altered by data driven bouncing forces addressing &#8220;world population displacement&#8221;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The portal detects human proximity and changes the values of the algorithm to make the spectator aware of his own displacement and learned about the unprecedented 68.5 million people around the world who have been forced from home<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">This includes 40 million internally displaced people (IDPs), 25.4 million refugees and 3.1 million asylum-seekers. The conflict in the Syrian Arab Republic (Syria) and significant displacements in Burundi, Central African Republic, the DRC, Iraq, Myanmar, South Sudan, Sudan, Ukraine and Yemen have driven an increase to the levels observed today.
