Artist Florencia S.M. Br\u00fcck announces the release of Out of Body<\/em>, a visionary digital performance work derived from her 2020 exhibition at Kunstverein Kunsthalle Hannover. Created by Florencia, performed by Laura De Luca, with music by Alessandro Branca, Out of Body<\/em> marks a pioneering moment in performance art\u2014merging generative visuals, blockchain technology, and immersive storytelling.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This innovative piece captures and preserves a once-intangible moment: the ephemeral nature of live performance reimagined as a collectible digital experience. As blockchain technology redefines ownership in the digital age, it also opens new frontiers for performance art\u2014bridging time, space, and viewer interaction.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The work explores themes central to Florencia\u2019s practice: the perception of time, death, and parallel realities. In this generative installation, an algorithm deconstructs and reconfigures the human form, echoing a profound near-death experience the artist had as a child\u2014when she drowned in a swimming pool and was revived by her father. That moment of disembodiment became the seed for this piece, transforming the viewer\u2019s interaction into a spiritual, almost otherworldly encounter.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Florencia\u2019s research investigates how we, as humans, adapt and respond to the evolving presence of media and consciousness in a technologically mediated world.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
