Yes, But…
Group exhibition. Milano Art Week 2026, 18–21 April 2026. Viale Sarca 183, Milan.
Yes, But… is a nomadic format. It opens buildings that are in a moment of passage, destined for transformation or demolition, and activates them for a few days through contemporary art before something new takes their place. Each building becomes a single episode; the method stays the same: observe, listen, activate.
The first edition took place at Viale Sarca 183, in the Bicocca district, a few minutes from Pirelli HangarBicocca, within the official programme of Milano Art Week 2026 and in partnership with the Comune di Milano. Nothing in the building was hidden. The route ran from the basement to the first floor, through broken walls, exposed brick and patterned floors, so that every work met the space as it was: at the end of one life and not yet at the beginning of the next.

The text
Stefano Pirovano wrote the critical text as a short story set in the same building in 1979, years after the Pirelli workers’ library had left it. A group of artists decides to show their work among the cracks and the debris; a critic tells them no to everything, then comes back on the last day, sits inside the circle of stones and listens to a drop falling.

Florencia S.M. Brück
For the central rooms Florencia brought Irreversible Amid Uncertainty: the four round canvases of Being Present, the four ten-metre canvases of Residual Memory falling from the ceiling to the floor, Floating Water Stones, and two earlier paintings, Chorus and Verse (2019).
