An Exploration of Near-Death Experiences and Fluid Realities

“Bosch & Beyond” is an extraordinary exhibition bringing together a diverse group of contemporary artists to reinterpret the timeless works of Hieronymus Bosch through the lens of modern technology. The exhibition will be held at Kühlhaus Berlin, opening September 18, 2024, and featuring innovative creations by artists such as Florencia S.M. Brück, Louis Paul Caron, Eegun, Saeko Ehara, Anne Horel, Marcelo Pinel, and Resatio, among others.
Among the exhibited works is “Suspended Between: Fractured Realities” by Florencia S.M. Brück. Inspired by her own near-death experience (NDE) at the age of five, Brück delves into the suspended states of consciousness, where time fractures, and the boundaries between existence and the unknown blur. The work is an exploration of those in-between spaces, where reality becomes fluid and identities shift.
Brück’s series features four AI-generated images printed on metal plates, each inscribed with thought-provoking questions that invite viewers to reflect on the nature of existence, time, and perception. The reverse sides of the plates contain enigmatic passages that deepen the introspection. Accompanying the collection is a two-minute AI-generated video that immerses viewers in a surreal space, where the lines between memory, reality, and perception blur. The artists also produced 7 screen captures from the video that can be printed on metal plates or hi definition paper. All works will be signed by the artists and come with an NFT.
Suspended Between offers a meditation on the spaces that lie beyond our grasp, inviting viewers to question what remains when the familiar structures of reality dissolve. Through her innovative use of AI, Brück opens a dialogue about consciousness and the unknown realms that lie just beyond the edge of perception.

Brück is an Italo-Argentinian artist and programmer renowned for exploring the intricate connections between classical artistry, the digital, virtual, and natural worlds through her innovative projects and installations.
