Biography
“I seek to navigate the confluence of art, consciousness and technology — to question the tension in the dialogue between the human, the artificial and nature.”
Florencia S.M. Brück is an Italo-Argentinian artist and programmer. She has studios in Milano, Virginia and Argentina.
Her practice moves between paint, ceramic, photography and poetic code. On canvas her subjects are time and memory through form; in the digital projects, alternate states of reality. Her research stays with the tension in the dialogue between the human, the artificial and nature.
Her work has been presented in museums, public spaces and galleries across Europe, the United States and Latin America.
She won the D.A.I.R. Award 2025 from Fondazione Giorgio Cini. Awarded the Mención Especial del Jurado at PhotoClub Buenos Aires in 2010. She has spoken at IKT & Plus Tate Talk, NFT.NYC London and Art Dubai Digital, writes on art and artificial intelligence for Im@go. A Journal of the Social Imaginary (Edizioni Mimesis), and her work has appeared in Prompt Magazine and CIFRA. Co-founder of 9th.com, Balmist Photography and of Decentral Art Pavilion, she has worked with Discovery Channel, The World Bank, Mediaset, Dolce & Gabbana, Campari, Alcatel-Lucent, America’s Cup, Xbox, the International Council for Commercial Arbitration (ICCA), the Peace Palace in The Hague and Wolters Kluwer.
